Happy New Year
Theme: Smartening up
Plan: Clean out the old, toss the negative, create space for positive change.
Manifestations:
1. Quit job that was draining my energy in favour of
a. having time for myself
b. making time for friends
c. spending more time on homework, thus improving grades
d. finding a new job that rocks.
2. Clean out Facebook "Friends".
3. Clean closet, tossing old shoe boxes, useless garments, ugly knick-knacks, and other generally worthless crap.
4. Remove expectations others have on me by being MORE than honest. This includes telling someone they cannot count on me as much as they would like because it is actually burdensome and interferes with my quality of life (which is actually a HUGE step for me).
5. Create things and events to look forward to. This includes outings with friends for coffee and clubbing, shopping for wedding dresses, and wedding planning. The party is going to be awesome.
6. Stop being an utter control freak and realize that "problems" are a part of life easily overcome by attitude. Reminding myself that weddings never go entirely swimmingly no matter how meticulous I might be will be a real help (and also very difficult because I am who I am after all).
7. Learn to let go of the things I cannot control. There is a reason for the strange fat deposits, after all, and it happens to be retention. If it isn't worthy, it goes. Period.
Release.....
