Thursday, watch the walls instead

It's raining. Again. It rained yesterday AND the day before. While I'm sure the ground was QUITE parched from many many days of hot and dry, this sudden deluge is most unwelcome for me. This is my only week off in quite some time, and I'm spending it... wet, cuz as if I'm going to stay inside for a week.
The elephant is nearly completed. MANY thanks to Tiff for helping with that *expletive* crochet chain and picking up all those *expletive* stitches. I have an ear and a half to knit, then I have to up them on the body, attach the arms, put on some eyes, stuff, and close the seams and it's all over. I will SO be done by Saturday.
I started this post with a lot to say and seem to have lost it all. Oh well.
The biggest news I guess is that Calgary decided it likes me! I get to dance while I'm there. Five days of nothing but 6hrs of nonstop dance classes, ALL of them technique. I got all of my first choices: Swing, Latin, and company repertoire. Oh the possibilities. I know it's silly, but I have this crazy idea that if I like it out there and I'm feeling cocky/confident enough (and of course if there are openings), I'd totally audition for the company. But that's a bit of a longshot.
I'm uber excited about seeing Natalie (and Ed too, of course). The one drawback to getting accepted in the intensive is that I have fewer hours to be showed around the whole place by Nat herself. However, my being away for several hours each day will allow her the time to get stuff done that she needs to do, as well as see OTHER people in the ten days I'll be living on her futon. I'm looking forward to seeing Calgary through her (and getting lost by myself a few times, too).
That's pretty much it around here. Maybe I'll be more interesting next time.
